What is Mercury Safe Dentistry?
A Mercury Safe Dentist takes precautions to minimize your exposure to mercury. First by not using amalgam fillings, and second by taking steps to protect you from mercury exposure when removing existing amalgam fillings from your teeth. The extra precautions that we use at First Lathrop Dental to protect you from exposure to mercury, also protects everyone else in the office.
What Is A Mercury Free Dentist?
A Mercury Free Dentist does not use amalgam fillings or any filling material that contains mercury, because mercury is a neurotoxin that can have negative effects on a patient’s health. Instead, our doctors use white resin fillings that look more natural and are free of toxic metals.
What insurance are you “in network” with?

How much does it cost to be seen if I don’t have insurance?
For cash patients who don’t have insurance your visit will be $125. This will include an initial exam with 1 set of diagnostic x-rays and a regular cleaning. It also includes a second exam in case an emergency arises during normal business hours. We also offer plans for couples and families. Do you do teeth whitening?
Absolutely! We offer custom bleaching trays. Our assistant will take impressions of your teeth, both upper and lower. These will be sent to our lab to make trays that you can use at home with our commercial grade whitening gel. The turnaround time is about 10 business days.
